You and any human companion must fill in this Hunting Log Book before entering the property/habitat of MAHUNT. A map of this property/habitat is enclosed with this Hunting Log Book for your review -- DO NOT REMOVE. Signing up beyond this moment's date and time constitutes fraud. Failure to provide all the information requested in a readable fashion constitutes trespassing and will result in you and your companion, if any, being prohibited from entering any of MAHUNT's property(ies)/habitat now or in the future.

YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO THE HIGHEST OF CONSERVATION AND FAIR CHASE HUNTING ETHICS. Any breach of the requirements below will constitute grounds for MAHUNT to deny you and your companion, if any, further access during your present authorized three days or on any of MAHUNT's property(ies)/habitat ever in the future and may result in enforcement action being taken by local Conservation Warden and/or County Sheriff's Department.

By signing this Hunting Log Book, I certify that I understand and will comply with all of the following:

1. Will minimize the noise that I make or cause to be made on this property/habitat, including when entering this property/habitat both in consideration of the sanctity of the property/habitat as well as the well being of the surrounding inhabitants and properties.

2. Close and secure all gates when entering/exiting the property.

3. Will cooperate fully with the caretaker(s) of MAHUNT.

4. Will NOT access this property/habitat or any other MAHUNT property(ies)/habitat without being or accompanying an authorized winner of the draw or blind cash bid during the three day period covered by such winning entry.

5. Will NOT trespass on neighboring properties.

6. Will NOT use on the property/habitat any firearm or archery equipment in a reckless manner and will not take target practice with such at any time.

7. Will follow all applicable state and federal hunting regulations, including but not limited to not knocking down or manipulating any crops on the property/habitat of MAHUNT to constitute illegal baiting and not bring any salt licks/blocks onto the property.

8. Will NOT damage MAHUNT's property/habitat and will take special care to minimize my impact on the property/habitat, endeavoring to leave the property/habitat as close to its condition prior to my entry as possible.

9. Will NOT use any motorized or wheeled vehicle (including but not limited to car, truck, SUV, snowmobile, motorcycle, quad, all terrain, electric golf cart, tractor, bicycle, or unicycle) on MAHUNT's property/habitat, except to park (one) my vehicle on the property/habitat if necessary and then as close to the entry gate as possible. Physically handicapped persons (denoted by a state authorized parking placard placed prominently on their vehicle's dashboard) may drive on clearly identifiable vehicle paths or roads on the property so long as no snow, soft ground or muddiness exists on such paths or roads. Such persons may also use wheelchairs on the property when snow, soft ground or muddiness do not exist.

10. Will NOT use or construct any permanent stand or blind on MAHUNT's property/habitat and will remove upon my final departure during the authorized three day period any portable stand or blind that I have brought onto the property/habitat.

11. Will comply with all other hunting activity restrictions attached to this sheet determined by MAHUNT for the purposes of preserving safety and protecting MAHUNT's property/habitat and will hunt using fair chase ethics.

 

12. Will NOT remove any artifacts from the property/habitat. The caretaker(s) must be informed of the location of any artifacts in person or by mail as soon as possible.

13. Will record in the Hunting Log book each time I sign in to enter the property/habitat and will return before leaving the property/habitat to record the time I leave the property/habitat each day. In no event will I enter the property/habitat prior to one and one-half hours before sunrise nor leave the property/habitat more than one hour after sunset.

14. No dog, cat or other domesticated or pet animal (including but not limited to horse, cow, sheep, pig, llama, birds, rodents or insects) shall be permitted on the property/habitat.

15. No wild animal or bird shall be brought on to, or released into, the property/habitat.

16. No signs, banners, graffiti, protests, or noise of similar nature shall be brought onto the property/habitat or made on the property/habitat or placed on anything on the property/habitat.

17. No mobile telephones, radios (except the car or vehicle radio, which shall be turned off prior to entering the property/habitat), TVs, music boxes, computers, or similar noise producing products may be brought onto or used on the property/habitat.

18. Will not take any shots at wild game/birds that are unlikely to result in quick euthanasia of the animal or bird. This includes "sky busting" or taking any shot that the shooter is not very confident from his past shooting history at animals or targets will result in a swift euthanasia. All birds or game shot shall be pursued diligently and quickly and dispatched mercifully if not already euthanized.

19. Will NOT start a fire or strike a match or lighter on the property/habitat.

20. Will NOT litter on the property/habitat or bring chewing or bubble gum or tobacco products onto the property/habitat.

21. Will NOT bring onto the property/habitat any alcoholic beverages or drinks, illegal drugs or use same on the property/habitat.

22. May NOT remove any wild mushrooms, puff balls, fruit or berries from the property/habitat and will release MAHUNT from any liability from ingesting or having anything taken from the property/habitat.

23. May remove ethically taken legal game, birds, animals, asparagus cuttings (not roots), nuts and fallen leaves from the property/habitat.

24. Must take all necessary precautions to not be bitten by ticks or fleas which may carry lyme or other diseases while on the property/habitat or while handling game from the property/habitat.

25. Must take all necessary precautions to avoid any and all contact with sick reptiles, birds, animals or their rubbings on the property/habitat and to minimize being bitten, touching prions, contracting rabies, or an other disease or malady like TB. Plastic gloves should be worn when touching, cleaning or cutting any legally taken game or birds, and contact with brain, spinal or lymph tissue should be avoided. Any sighting of a sick, staggering, drooling, foaming from the mouth or nose, disoriented, or emaciated animal, bird, or reptile on the property/habitat should be reported quickly to the caretaker(s).

26. Shall not deface, destroy, scratch or in any way harm any plaques or memorabilia on the property/habitat.

27. Will hold harmless MAHUNT and any one affiliated, employed, or utilized by

MAHUNT from liability for any injury or property damage from known or unanticipated risks or causes received while engaged in recreation activities, as provided by provisions described in � 895.52(5), Wis. Stats. and � 29.59(7) Wis. Stats.

ATTACHED SPECIFIC PROPERTY/HABITAT RESTRICTIONS AND WARNINGS

1. No carrying of an uncased gun or uncased or not fully covered bow or shooting of a gun or bow may take place in the northern 300 feet of the property/habitat.

2. No shotgun or bow shall be fired towards the North (Village of McFarland homes) or West (Village of McFarland Park) (even if into the air) from the remaining portion of the property/habitat. Shots are recommended to be taken only from the southern one-half of the property and towards only the South (even if into the air), especially when hunting whitetail deer.

3. Be careful when walking in any marsh or wetland or to, near, or in Mud Lake (or on the path/boards thereto) and do not attempt to wade/cross any ditches to both minimize the human impact as well as avoiding falling or drowning.

4. Be careful when walking in the wooded area or near or around the Indian mounds to minimize the disturbance of such sanctified ground and falling on the uneven ground, especially when the ground is soft or muddy. No walking or wheelchair movement upon the Indian Mounds is permitted.

5 Avoid being near any trees during storms, winds, or calm as limbs or trees falling can be hazardous.

6. Be careful climbing any trees.

7. Shotguns (with shot shells not slugs) may be used for squirrel, rabbit, bird or (with slugs) deer hunting, and bows and arrows may be used for bird or deer hunting. No handguns or crossbows are permitted on the property(ies)/habitat.

8. Two mobile tree stands per day per hunter may be erected or retained (including climbing steps) for hunting of deer.

9. Be careful legally setting traps for fur-bearing animals.

ANY VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE HUNTING LOG BOOK'S RULES OR THIS SPECIFIC PROPERTY/HABITAT'S ATTACHED RESTRICTIONS AND WARNINGS shall result in the individual violating such rule (and/or the group that such individual states that he/she represents) paying to MAHUNT treble damages plus legal fees and being prohibited from entering any

MAHUNT property/habitat in the future. Any and all individuals signing this Hunting Log book hereby agree to such penalties for such violations by signing and entering the subject property/habitat.
